Wanda, a resident of Brandon Manitoba, was in need of a medical procedure to control her racing heart. Living with this heart condition has been extremely difficult for her, due to the constant heart monitoring and different medications.
The waiting time for this procedure in Manitoba can be many months, sometimes over a year. The medical procedure would be covered if done out of province, but the travel expenses would not be covered.
An opportunity came up for Wanda to receive treatment right away in London, Ontario. The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg will be covering Wanda’s travel expenses using the club’s accumulated Air Miles.
