Request for Donation

Winnipeg Kinsmen is dedicated to serving our community’s greatest need by providing funding to charitable organizations through exciting fundraisers and events. If your organization needs funding, submit a request here, and your request will be reviewed by our executive. We hope to be of assistance!

Who is eligible for funding?

The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg provides funding to:

  • Non-profit organizations, charities, and other community groups
  • Community initiatives and events

We support school meal programs through our partnership with Harvest Manitoba. Please connect with Harvest Manitoba for requests of this nature.

The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg typically does not fund:

  • Community centres
  • Playgrounds
  • Nurseries, and day cares

Requests of this nature may still be submitted for consideration at the end of our fiscal year should a funds surplus be available. The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.

Application Process

To have your request reviewed by our executive, please follow these 5 simple steps:

  1. Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements above
  2. Fill-out the Service request form below
  3. If possible, fill-out your request at least 6 weeks prior to the funds being required to allow ample time for the approval process
  4. Prepare any financial reports or additional documentation that may be required
  5. If you are requesting a presentation, please have all materials prepared

The club is not in session during July or August. Applications submitted during this time will have a longer processing time.

After your application is submitted:

  • Your application will be reviewed by our VP of Service who may reach out for additional details or clarification
  • The request will be reviewed and voted on by our executive within 4-6 weeks
  • If asked to make a presentation, all materials must be submitted to the club 3 days prior to the presentation date
  • If your request is approved, you will be contacted by a member of our organization to review donation details, confirm cheque delivery address and arrange your chosen donation recognition
