The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg has sponsored a student for Kin Canada Bursaries, a project of the Hal Rogers Endowment fund for 2005. The application for this student will be reviewed by Kin Canada Bursaries, and will be eligible for a $1000 scholarship.

We have also decided to choose 5 more worthy students that submitted an application, and award them each a $100 bursary.

“In memory of the Association’s founder, who passed away in September 1994 at the age of 95, Kin Canada established the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, the purpose of which is to promote, encourage and sponsor educational programs and activities. Kin Canada Bursaries, a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, provides financial assistance to eligible persons in their quest for higher learning.”

Special thanks to Kinsmen members John Madill, Vince Thiessen and Kevin Sauteur for researching and bringing forward this service request.
