The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg will be volunteering at the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis. We will also be providing several raffle draw prizes, including a beautiful Stainless Steel BBQ valued at approximately $1000.
Since 1986, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF) chapter members have teamed up with community partners, to participate in an annual family-oriented walk campaign, to raise funds in support of the fight against cystic fibrosis.
The Great Strides? walk, held on the last Sunday of May, is the CCFF’s Canada-wide, group fundraising event. All money raised through pledges and donations will be used by the CCFF to fund CF research and treatment programs at over 38 Canadian CF clinics, five transplant centres.
The CCFF is pleased to bring the Great Strides? campaign to Canada, through our friendship with the United States Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), which manages over 550 Great Strides? events in the U.S., annually. Over the years, such walk events have proven to be the perfect opportunity for local supporters to make a difference in the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.
