The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg has donated $35,000.00 to the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program of Winnipeg. This money will be used to fund their entire program for 2006.
Little Sisters and Little Brothers come from all areas of the city and are no different from other children. Many, though not all, come from single parent homes. They all have the same need — an adult from outside the home to be a friend.
Whether you’re young or old, married or single, a professional or a homemaker, you can be a Big Brother or Big Sister. You don’t need special training. You don’t need a lot of money. All you need are your own personal reasons for wanting to help a child. Maybe you want to make a difference with one child – to show what caring means. You have much to give, and much to share with a child in need of a special friend.
