The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg has made the following donations for the 2005 Holiday Season:

$700.00 for a Christmas party for the Good Neighbors seniors centre.

$3,000.00 towards the Agape table Christmas Dinner. Founded in 1980 by a volunteer Board of Directors, Agape Table was established to serve free hot meals to people in the inner city. The need for this service has risen and today, 25 years later, Agape Table still serves a hot meal at the breakfast hour.

$1,000.00 towards the Christmas Cheer Board. The Christmas Cheer Board is a Winnipeg based charitable organization that has been in operation since 1919. Each year the Christmas Cheer Board collects non perishable food items and unwrapped toys for Christmas Hampers for those families in need.

$7,000.00 to Winnipeg Harvest for baby formula. Winnipeg Harvest is a non-profit, community-based organization. It is committed to providing food to people who struggle to feed themselves and their families. It is also committed to maximizing public awareness of hunger while working towards long-term solutions to hunger and poverty.

$1,500.00 for the Anishanabe Fellowship Christmas party for children. This is an Inner-City Mission of the Presbyterian Church in Canada serving Aboriginal People and others.

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season!
